With more Indians finding favour with the Windows Phone 8 OS, and many among them tending towards Nokia’s Lumia range, the Nokia Lumia 525 that launches today with its affordable price is certainly news.

Additionally, the budget phone’s launch just a week prior to the launch of the Nokia Lumia 1320 – the large screen and more premium smart phone that is expected to be priced at Rs. 23,999 – will hopefully generate the right amount of anticipation.

In the meantime, the Nokia Lumia 525’s 4-inch touchscreen and 1GB RAM is sure to create ripples in an already competitive budget smart phone market. The Lumia 525’s five-megapixel autofocus camera with imaging controls should hopefully retain the Lumia’s great phone camera experience. It also includes the latest version of Nokia MixRadio, providing free music, in addition to unlimited streaming. The smart phone is available in gloss orange, white, yellow and matte black.

To sweeten the deal, Nokia is offering a special package of premium games worth Rs. 2,025 from Gameloft free of cost. This includes popular titles such as Modern Combat 4, Asphalt 8, Assassin’s Creed, Shark Dash and Nova 3, among others. The Gameloft offer will be valid for consumers on Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Reliance and Idea networks till March 31, 2014. Also included is Xbox gaming, available out of the box for free.

In addition, Nokia has also announced that all new Nokia Lumia devices purchased between 7th January and 31st January will get free 20GB Skydrive storage for a year. To avail this offer, register here by 15th February 2014.
