The Apple-Samsung war is far from over. Apple may have won over a billion in the patent infringement lawsuit but looks like it won’t stop till it brings its strongest competitor to its knees.

The lawsuit filed in the US has been amended now to include Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III, and the Note devices smartphone devices. This takes the list of products on Apple’s hit-list from 17 to 21.

That could be serious cause for concern for the Korean major since the sales of S III were crucial in taking Samsung’s quarterly profits to a record high. Worrisome, also because US is one of the biggest smartphone markets.

Samsung must have seen it coming because Apple had already pushed for a ban on the S III in June, a month after the S III was unveiled, but a packed court schedule pushed the request for another date. In a statement released today, Samsung said: “Apple continues to resort to litigation over market competition in an effort to limit consumer choice,” the Associated Press reported
