I’ve always been familiar with brands like Colgate, Pepsodent, Babool, Close-Up, Meswak, and Sensodyne in the toothpaste category. When Oral-B launched its new Pro-Expert toothpaste, it made me curious because Oral-B has always been the finest dental care brand when it comes to toothbrushes, mouthwashes and dental floss. So even though I’m an ardent Brand Colgate loyalist (I use Colgate Max Fresh Gel Toothpaste), I still decided to try out the new Oral-B Pro-Health toothpaste.

To start with, I didn’t quite like the packaging. It gives an extremely serious, dull and boring picture in your head when you see the toothpaste for the first time. On the other hand, I’ve been using Oral-B for the past two weeks now, and I must say the entire feeling of using it has been a pleasant surprise. What I like is that this toothpaste doesn’t have that particular minty taste, which other toothpastes do, yet it makes you feel fresh throughout the day. I found the sweet aftertaste that the toothpaste leaves behind post-brushing very refreshing. Over a period of time, it also naturally whitens your teeth and helps you fight any tartar problems you may have. Not once in the day did I feel the need to brush again, or felt that I had bad breath etc.

In my opinion, this toothpaste scores high points because it kept my mouth feeling refreshed, even after breakfast, lunch or an evening snack. It completely breaks the myth that only toothpastes with a minty flavor can keep your mouth feeling fresh all day.

Before using it, I didn’t think there was the slightest chance of me saying this, but Oral-B is a good revitalizing and distinctive toothpaste in its category. I’ll still stick with Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste (perhaps out of habit), but on a scale of 1 to 5, this toothpaste would score a 4.5 for me.

If you want to use something different as your morning starter and yet feel fresh, I would say don’t think twice and grab Oral-B Pro-Health toothpaste.
