Another one of the big 5 – the Nokia Lumia 920 — launched September 2012 in Finland — is hitting the Indian market this Thursday. Ahead of that, we got event manager Abhishek Chaurasia to do a comprehensive hands-on review of this much-awaited Windows 8 phone that carries Nokia’s punch line of being ‘the world’s most innovative smartphone ever’. Nokia sure hopes this phone will lift the sagging fortunes of the Finnish firm, especially in a market that puts a lot of faith in the brand. In that sense, India will be a testing ground.

What’s clear from Abhishek’s thorough review is that the phone embodies what Windows 8 is positioning itself for – integration, whether it is Windows 8 devices or social media platforms via the ‘Me’ tile. Further, customization and dynamism of Windows 8 Live tiles could be a refreshing change.

The Pureview Camera technology will be another draw for the phone. The biggest wow factor for the phone would certainly be wireless charging, which will make it the only phone in the market to have that.
