I am talking about the Maybelline Baby Lips Berry Crush lip balm. The Maybelline ‘Baby Lips’ lip balm looked ideal for a teenager. I was unsettled that I actually wanted to try it on – let alone buy it; the ‘Berry Crush’ flavor no less! What I love: Packaging: fresh, fun and completely girly Retractable tube in sturdy plastic. Extremely travel-friendly Lid shuts firmly: no fear of accidental opening or crushing the lip balm Buttery texture. Easy application. Glides smoothly Finish is glossy with a beautiful pop of colour Tube looks bright and vivid – gives just the right hint of red on application Staying power: claims 6-hour continuous moisturisation and it’s true What I don’t love: The tint fades away too quickly Pigmentation is quite sheer Maybelline Baby Lips does a good job of moisturising the lips making them softer and healthier in appearance. Maybelline’s certainly got its ‘red’ bang on for the Indian complexion – will most definitely suit all skin types and tones. Although the colour wears off evenly and rather quickly – the glossy finish and smooth application have had me reaching for it every single day (and yes sometimes for repeated application). The non-fuss, simple twist of the tube definitely makes re-application quite hassel-free. Baby Lips is very light and leaves no coated, waxy feeling at all. I’ve even used it overnight – only to get “baby soft” lips. I like the fact that it gives my lips a healthy, natural pop of colour. I highly recommend for all gals looking for softer lips this winter and possibly all year round. Although I thought Rs. 165 was a bit too much for an impulse buy, I am glad to report I’ve got my money’s worth!
