Chinese handset maker has unveiled the Grand SII at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Las Vegas. The smartphone is a follow-up to the Grand S I that was launched last year.

The Grand S II has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 and 13MP rear camera. According to Brad Molen of Engadget, the most attractive feature of this phone is its voice control capabilities, given that it can recognize multiple voices, you can snap a photo with a voice command and that you can unlock your screen verbally (like the Moto X).

Alex Wagner of Phone Dog talks about the phone’s My-Drive mode which boosts the Grand S II’s voice recognition rate when a user is in the car to make it easier to accept calls and listen to messages. And the three noise-reducing microphones help the device produce clearer phone calls.

The ZTE Grand S II runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage. It packs a 3000mAh battery. The Grand S II also has a removable plastic back with a brushed metal finish.

ZTE has yet to announce a launch date for the ZTE Grand S II.
